OBITUARY.
THE LATE, MRS. W. G. B.
LEWCOCK.
Mrs. W. G. B. Lewcock, one of the oldest residents of the Clare District, passed' away on December 24, at the age of 87 years. She was born at the Burra on June 2nd.,1853. Her parents were the late Mr.and Mrs. Mitchell, who came to South Australia from Cornwall, Mr. Mitchell being a miner. In July, 1858, her father bought land at Spring: Farm (now owned by Mr. A. P. Birks), and remained there until 1882, when they retired and came to Clare to live. On Nov. 29, 1889, Miss Mitchell married Mr. W. G. B. Lewcock, and they had one daughter, Miss Ethel Lewcock, who survives.
During the last seven years Mrs.Lewcock was practically blind, but nevertheless was able to move about her home fairly well. Her cheery disposition gained for her a large number of friends, who were sorry to learn of her death.
